For the last two years, we've tried out the PBL or project-based-learning model through our
Lanier High School
, and seen some great successes and lessons learned. Also, our neighboring school
North Gwinnett High School
has been discovering great things with the same PBL method, different flavor, and they will share.
Well, we decided to put together a free "
e" dedicated to helping teachers develop programs that incorporate twenty-first century skills through project-based learning. Everyone is welcome to attend, remember it's free! The goal of an unconference is to get ideas about what you'd like to learn or what you'd like to share, and go with it! At minimum, you should walk away with our tools, and maybe a partial plan. We welcome anyone to share their stuff too!
*Cool thing: our district has paid for both Suzie Boss and Jane Krauss to attend and share, so take advantage of working with these PBL gurus!!
When: June 4-5 from 9:00am to 4:00pm
Where: Lanier High School 918 Buford Highway Sugar Hill, Georgia 30518
(Please register by clicking the "Register to Attend" link on the right side, over there ----->)
NB: Note, we will not have free wi-fi but, we will have guest logins for your use. Also ,we'll be doing lunch on our own so we can (hopefully!) meet informally and keep the conversation going!
If you have any questions before the conference free free to contact us!
